62% of Teens Plan to Buy an iPhone

The numbers are in and Apple should be very pleased with Piper Jaffray’s latest analytical market results from a poll taken regarding teens and mobile devices.

Fortune’s tech section runs down a list of the highlights from Jaffray’s latest findings and it’s quite surprising.
48 percent of teens state that they already own an iPhone and 62 percent of teens say that they’re likely to buy one as their next mobile device.
Interestingly enough, the former numbers tie-in with 59 percent of teens saying that they are likely to buy an iOS device, as opposed to 20 percent who said that they would likely buy an Android device.
This probably bodes well for Apple as they plan the rollout for their next set of mobile devices, one of which is rumored to be the iPhone 5S.
